Hi, my name is Kate; I am an Interior Stylist and the owner of Kate Alexander Design, based in Perth, Western Australia. As a busy mum with a young family, I understand the value of your time and the challenges of staying home with kids. Finding inspiration for your home on Pinterest, Instagram or magazines can be overwhelming. They often sell us the ‘dream home,’ but the reality is often different and bringing that vision to life is not always easy.
Shopping for your home can be fragmented, with a multitude of online stores, showrooms, varying price points, sizes, availability, and brands leading to confusion and decision fatigue. My goal is to help you calm the chaos and create a beautiful, functional and beautiful family-friendly home you won’t be ashamed to have family photos taken in.
Having an expert guide you through the design process means no wasted time, money or effort in creating your dream home. And who knows, you might have fun during the process! I offer a personal interior style experience, working closely with my clients to transform their houses into homes where beautiful memories are made. After some architecture and interior design studies and several years spent living in North America, where I had the opportunity to work with some brilliant interior and set designers, I am back home in Perth. With the experience of having worked with some of Perth’s leading paint, bathroom and building suppliers, I am now collaborating with clients all over this beautiful city.
I am an expert in layering colour and texture. I have a keen eye for colour and am skilled at creating cohesive, unique and stylish colour schemes. In addition to paint selection, I also have experience in guiding bathroom, laundry and kitchen finish and fixture choices.
